You use the Task Board to communicate with your planning partners in the Bimplus portal.

Using the Task Board, you can retrieve the tasks of a Bimplus project from the Bimplus web platform. In addition, you can create new tasks or edit existing tasks.

Showing the task board in the Bimplus portal

To show the task board in the Bimplus portal

This is only possible if

→  You have loaded the Bimplus project into BIM Viewer (see "Bauwerksmodell in den BIM Viewer laden")

  • Click  Show Task Board on the left sidebar.

    The Task Board opens above the full view. The table lists the tasks of the current Bimplus project.

Retrieving tasks using the Bimplus portal

To use the Bimplus portal to retrieve tasks of a Bimplus project

This is only possible if

→  You have loaded the Bimplus project into BIM Viewer (see "Bauwerksmodell in den BIM Viewer laden")
→  The Task Board is open (see "Showing the task board in the Bimplus portal")

  1. Go to the Task Board and click in any column of the task of which you want to see the details.
    The full view shows the perspective of the building model that was active when you saved the task the last time. Bimplus automatically activates all required specialist models, object types and structural levels of the building structure.

  2. Open the Details palette to see the details of the task.
    To do this, click  Show details on the right sidebar.

Creating tasks using the Bimplus portal

To use the Bimplus portal to create a new task

This is only possible if

→  You have loaded the Bimplus project into BIM Viewer (see "Bauwerksmodell in den BIM Viewer laden")
→  You have the required rights (account owner, project administrator or project editor of the Bimplus project team)

  1. Select an appropriate perspective of the building model in the full view. Make sure all objects you need are clearly visible. This is the view Bimplus will save together with the new task.

  2. Click New task on the right sidebar.
    The New task palette opens.

  3. Enter at least a name for the new task and click Save.
    The Details palette opens.

  4. Enter detailed information about the new task. 

    Note: Tasks can be given comments or further information in the form of files or hyperlinks (see "Attaching comments and further information to objects").

  5. If you want to focus on a particular point, you can mark this point.
    To do this, click  Spot followed by Add spot. Then go to the full view and click the point you want to mark with a spot.
     
  6. Click Save.
    The program creates the task, saving the view you selected in step 1 together with the task. The Person responsible and the person behind Email CC will be informed by email about the new task.

Editing tasks using the Bimplus portal

To use the Bimplus portal to edit a task

This is only possible if

→  You have loaded the Bimplus project into BIM Viewer (see "Bauwerksmodell in den BIM Viewer laden")
→  You have the required rights (account owner, project administrator or project editor of the Bimplus project team)
→  The Task Board is open (see "Showing the task board in the Bimplus portal")

  1. If the Details palette is not open
    Click Show details on the right sidebar.

  2. Go to the Task Board and click in any column of the task you want to edit.
    The Details palette (similar to the Details palette in Allplan) opens, showing detailed information about the task clicked.

  3. Change the details of the task.

  4. Click Save.
    The Person responsible and the person behind Email CC will be informed by email about the changes in the task.

Importing or exporting tasks in BCF format

To communicate with your planning partners, you can directly import any task in BCF format (BIM collaboration format) or export any Bimplus task in BCF format.

Important!
The model containing the objects that are linked with the relevant task must be part of the project. Otherwise, Bimplus can neither use nor display BCF files correctly. Therefore, load the model into your project before you import BCF files.

To import a task in BCF format

This is only possible if

→  You have loaded the Bimplus project into BIM Viewer (see "Bauwerksmodell in den BIM Viewer laden")
→  You have the required rights (account owner, project administrator or project editor of the Bimplus project team)
→  The Task Board is open (see "Showing the task board in the Bimplus portal")

  1. Go to the toolbar of the Task Board and click Import BCF file to Bimplus at top right.

  2. The Upload file dialog box opens. Select the BCF file containing the task you want to import (usually ending in *.BCFZIP).

  3. Click Open.
    Bimplus creates a new task, importing the contents of the BCF file to this task.

To export a task in BCF format

This is only possible if

→  You have loaded the Bimplus project into BIM Viewer (see "Bauwerksmodell in den BIM Viewer laden")
→  You have the required rights (account owner, project administrator or project editor of the Bimplus project team)
→  The Task Board is open (see "Showing the task board in the Bimplus portal")

  1. Select the task you want to export to a BCF file.
    Go to the Task Board and click in any column of the relevant task

  2. Go to the toolbar of the Task Board and click Export task to BCF file at top right.
    The BCF created dialog box opens.

  3. Select whether you want to save the file locally to your computer or send the file to the responsible persons at once.
    To do this, select the Download or Share file option respectively.

  4. If you select the Download option
    Click the Download button and save the file to any folder.

    Or:

    If you select the Share file option
    Click in the Email box and select the recipients. Then click the Send button. The recipients will receive an email, telling them that they can download a new BCF file from Bimplus.

Exporting the task list in Excel format

With a complex task list in particular, it is often difficult to keep track of tasks. Therefore, you can export the complete task list of a Bimplus project in Excel format.

To export the task list of a Bimplus project in Excel format

This is only possible if

→  You have loaded the Bimplus project into BIM Viewer (see "Bauwerksmodell in den BIM Viewer laden")
→  You have the required rights (account owner, project administrator or project editor of the Bimplus project team)
→  The Task Board is open (see "Showing the task board in the Bimplus portal")

  1. If you want, you can change the sequence of the columns on the Task Board. This is the sequence in which the tasks will be written to the Excel file.

  2. If you want, you can also sort the rows of the task list. To do this, click a column header to sort the task list by the contents of this column alphabetically or numerically in ascending or descending order.

  3. Go to the toolbar of the Task Board and click Export all tasks to Excel file at top right.

  4. Select whether you want to open or save the file.

  5. If you want to save the file
    Enter a file name and click Save.

Deleting tasks using the Bimplus portal

To use the Bimplus portal to delete a task from a Bimplus project

This is only possible if

→  You have loaded the Bimplus project into BIM Viewer (see "Bauwerksmodell in den BIM Viewer laden")
→  You have the required rights (account owner, project administrator or project editor of the Bimplus project team)
→  The Task Board is open (see "Showing the task board in the Bimplus portal")

  1. Go to the Task Board and click the task you want to delete.

  2. If the Details palette is not open
    Click   Show details on the right sidebar.

  3. Go to the Details palette and click    Delete.

  4. Click Yes to confirm the prompt.
