The program detects a clash if the value by which two objects overlap exceeds the value you entered for the overlap tolerance.

To calculate clashes

This is only possible if ...

→  The Bimplus project is loaded in BIM Explorer (see “Loading the building model into BIM Explorer”)
→  You have the required rights (see “Rights in Bimplus”)

  1. Go to the left sidebar and click Clash detection.

The Clash manager palette opens on the left side.

Tip: To hide the Clash manager palette, click Clash detection again.

  2. Check and change the default setting for the overlap tolerance of the object class for which you want to calculate clashes.

The program detects a clash as soon as the value by which objects overlap exceeds this value.

  3. Click Start clash calculation to the right of the required object class.

When the calculation is complete, you can see how many clashes have been detected for the object class in question.

Note: Clashes are sorted by status in each object class: clashes detected (red), open clash tasks (yellow), and solved clash tasks (green). Click Show clashes to show and hide the clashes of each status in the model in full view.
