Object navigator helps you find particular objects or object types in full view.

Using a two-level filter, you can select the object class and the object type. Object navigator lists all objects meeting the filter criteria set. You can highlight the objects in color. In doing so, you can choose to highlight the objects individually or as a group.

Finding objects

To find objects using object navigator

This is only possible if ...

→ The Bimplus project is loaded in BIM Explorer (see "Loading the building model into BIM Explorer")

  1. Click Show object navigator on the left sidebar.

    The Object navigator palette opens.

  2. Use the two list boxes to define filter criteria.

    Bimplus scans the entire model, listing the objects found in the Object navigator palette.

  3. If you want to regroup the objects found:
    Change the criterion for Group by and click Create tree.

  4. To highlight objects in the model, click  Toggle colorization to the right of the objects you want to highlight.

    Full view displays the selected objects in the color set.

    Tip: Select  Isolate on the toolbar at the bottom to make the rest of the model transparent.

Setting the color

You can set any color not only for the object type but also for individual objects.

To set the color

This is only possible if ...

→ The Bimplus project is loaded in BIM Explorer (see "Loading the building model into BIM Explorer")
→ The Object navigator palette is open

  1. Open the tree structure as far as the object type or object you require.

  2. Click the color box in front of the object type or object.

    You can see the color palette with available colors.

  3. Click the color you want to use.
