Using Allplan, you can communicate directly with Bimplus and thus with your planning partners. You do not need the web browser. Just open the Task Board palette in Allplan. You can then retrieve the tasks of a Bimplus project from the Bimplus web platform. In addition, you can create new tasks or edit existing tasks.

Important!
This is only possible if the Allplan project is linked with the Bimplus project. In other words, the Allplan project data have been uploaded to Bimplus at least once. If this is not so, start by linking the Allplan project with the Bimplus project (see "Uploading planning data for the first time").

Showing the Task Board palette in Allplan

To show the Task Board palette in Allplan

This is only possible if

→  Allplan is running

  1. Open the View menu, point to Toolbars and click Task Board.

  2. If you have not yet logged in to Bimplus from Allplan
    Use the Bimplus dialog box to log in to Bimplus (see "Using Allplan to log in to Bimplus").

Retrieving tasks using Allplan

To use Allplan to retrieve tasks of a Bimplus project

This is only possible if

→  You have used Allplan to log in to Bimplus (see "Using Allplan to log in to Bimplus")
→  The relevant Allplan project is open; this Allplan project is linked with the Bimplus project
→  You have the required rights (all members of the Bimplus project team)

  1. Open the Task Board palette (see "Showing the Task Board palette in Allplan").

  2. Go to the Tasks area and click   Update tasks to synchronize the tasks listed in the table with the tasks on the Bimplus web platform.

  3. Click in the Name column of the task of which you want to see the details.
    The Details palette (similar to the Details palette in the Bimplus portal) opens, showing detailed information about the task clicked.

Creating tasks using Allplan

To use Allplan to create a new task for a Bimplus project

This is only possible if

→  You have used Allplan to log in to Bimplus (see "Using Allplan to log in to Bimplus")
→  The relevant Allplan project is open; this Allplan project is linked with the Bimplus project
→  You have the required rights (account owner, project administrator or project editor of the Bimplus project team)

  1. Select an appropriate view of the building model in the current viewport. Allplan will save this view together with the new task.

  2. Open the Task Board palette (see "Showing the Task Board palette in Allplan").

  3. Click New task.
    The Details palette opens.

  4. Enter detailed information about the new task.

    Note: Tasks can be given comments or further information in the form of files or hyperlinks (see "Attaching comments and further information to objects").

  5. If you want to focus on a particular point, you can mark this point.
    To do this, click  Spots followed by Add spot. Then go to the full view and click the point you want to mark with a spot.

  6. If you want to focus on one or more elements, you can mark these elements using the marking color.
    To do this, click the Select elements button, click the elements you want to mark and confirm by clicking the right mouse button.

  7. Click Save.
    The program creates the task, saving the view you selected in step 1 together with the task. The Person responsible and the person behind Email CC will be informed by email about the new task.

Editing tasks using Allplan

To use Allplan to edit a task

This is only possible if

→  You have used Allplan to log in to Bimplus (see "Using Allplan to log in to Bimplus")
→  The relevant Allplan project is open; this Allplan project is linked with the Bimplus project
→  You have the required rights (account owner, project administrator or project editor of the Bimplus project team)

  1. Open the Task Board palette (see "Showing the Task Board palette in Allplan").

  2. Click Update tasks to synchronize the tasks listed in the table with the tasks on the Bimplus web platform.

  3. Click in the Name column of the task you want to edit.
    The Details palette (similar to the Details palette in the Bimplus portal) opens, showing detailed information about the task clicked.

  4. Change the details of the task.

  5. Click Save.
    The Person responsible and the person behind Email CC will be informed by email about the changes in the task.

Deleting tasks using Allplan

To use Allplan to delete a task from a Bimplus project

This is only possible if

→  You have used Allplan to log in to Bimplus (see "Using Allplan to log in to Bimplus")
→  The relevant Allplan project is open; this Allplan project is linked with the Bimplus project
→  You have the required rights (account owner, project administrator or project editor of the Bimplus project team)

  1. Open the Task Board palette (see "Showing the Task Board palette in Allplan").

  2. Go to the Tasks area and double-click the task you want to delete.
    The Details palette opens.

  3. Click  Delete.

  4. Click Yes to confirm the prompt.
