If you want to exchange data in accordance with the IFC standard, you need a basic set of properties is absolutely necessary. Creating a property set template from scratch is not only time-consuming but also prone to errors. Therefore, you cannot cannot do this in Bimplus.

But you can easily create your own property set templates by copying one of the predefined property set templates and customizing this copy to suit your needs and requirements. All predefined property set templates include the minimum of property sets required in accordance with the IFC standard. This ensures that all property set templates derived always comply with the minimum requirements in accordance with the IFC standard.

To derive a property set template, copy one of the predefined property set templates. You can then customize the copy by changing or adding property sets.

To copy a property set template

  1. Open the list box for the property set template (on the left in side of the table header) and select the template you want to copy.

  2. Click Property set template templates options to the right of the list box and select Image Added Copy on the menu.

  3. The Copy dialog box opens. Type Enter a name for the new property set template and click COPY.
