Clash calculation identifies a clash if the value by which two objects overlap exceeds the value you entered for the overlap tolerance.
To detect clashes
Click Clash detection on the left sidebar.
The Clash Manager palette appears on the left side.
Tip: To hide the Clash Manager palette, click Clash detection again.
Use the Clash set list box at the top of the Clash Manager palette to select the object classes whose objects you want to check for clashes.
You can change the overlap tolerance (default setting: 10 mm).
Click
Options next to the Clash set list box and select Edit.Enter the required value for the Tolerance (mm) in the Edit Clash Set palette and click SAVE.
Clash calculation identifies a clash as soon as the value by which objects overlap exceeds this value.
Click Start clash calculation for the required structural level in the Clash Manager palette.

If you want to check the entire project for clashes, click Start clash calculation in the top row (= project name) of the tree structure.
When clash calculation is complete, the
Clashes row shows how many clashes have been detected for the structural level.Note: Clashes of each structural level are sorted by status: clashes detected (red), open clash issues (yellow), and solved clash issues (green). You can use Show clashes to show and hide the clashes of each status in the model in full view.
