Adding objects to a structure

To add objects to a structure

This is only possible if ...

→  Multimodel manager is open (see “Opening the multimodel manager”)
→  You have the required rights (see “Rights in Bimplus”)
→  You created a structure in multimodel manager (see “Creating, editing, or deleting a structure”)

  1. Go to the Multimodel manager palette and select the required structure in the Select structure list box.

  2. Expand the structure as far as the node to which you want to add objects.

    Important!
    You can assign objects only to empty nodes or nodes that already contain other objects. If a node has subordinate nodes, you cannot assign objects to this node.

  3. Click the node.

    The Details palette opens on the right side.

  4. Click ADD OBJECTS in the 3D preview of the Details palette.

  5. Select the objects you want to add to the current node in full view.

    Select and hold the Ctrl key and click the objects one after the other.

  6. Click SAVE in the 3D preview of the Details palette.

Moving objects

To move an object within a structure

This is only possible if ...

→  Multimodel manager is open (see “Opening the multimodel manager”)
→  You have the required rights (see “Rights in Bimplus”)

  1. Go to the Multimodel manager palette and point to the object you want to move.

  2. Drag this object to its new position within the structure.

    Important!
    You can move objects only to empty nodes or nodes that already contain other objects. If a node has subordinate nodes, you cannot move objects to this node.

Changing object assignments

To change the object assignment of a node

This is only possible if ...

→  Multimodel manager is open (see “Opening the multimodel manager”)
→  You have the required rights (see “Rights in Bimplus”)

  1. Go to the Multimodel manager palette and click the name of the node from which you want to remove object assignments or to which you want to assign more objects.

    The objects that are currently assigned to the node are selected in full view; the Details palette opens on the right side.

  2. Click ADD OBJECTS in the 3D preview of the Details palette.

  3. Select and hold the Ctrl key and click one of these objects to undo its assignment.

    Or:

    Select and hold the Ctrl key and click an object that is not yet assigned to assign this object to the current node.

  4. Click SAVE in the 3D preview of the Details palette.
