Display defaultArt und Umfang der Darstellung des Bauwerksmodells in der Gesamtansicht des BIM Explorers können Sie über die Palette Projektnavigation (links von der Gesamtansicht) und die Werkzeugleiste (im unteren Bereich der Gesamtansicht) steuern.
Während in der Palette Projektnavigation das Ein- und Ausblenden ganzer Fachmodelle, einzelner Objekttypen oder kompletter Strukturstufen möglich ist, können Sie über die Werkzeugleiste gezielt einzelne Objekte ausblenden oder umgekehrt isolieren, indem Sie alle anderen Objekte transparent schalten.

Palette Projektnavigation einblenden
Einen Überblick über die Datenstruktur des aktuell geöffneten Projekts mit allen darin enthaltenen Fachmodellen bietet Ihnen die Palette Projektnavigation. Über deren Bereiche MODELLE und BAUWERKSSTRUKTUR steuern Sie die grundsätzliche Sichtbarkeit der Objekte in der Gesamtansicht: Da sich die Einstellungen in den beiden Bereichen überlagern, werden nur die Objekte angezeigt, die in beiden Bereichen sichtbar geschaltet sind.
Im Bereich MODELLE können Sie darüber hinaus einzelne Modelle oder ihre untergeordneten Objekttypen transparent schalten.
So blenden Sie die Palette Projektnavigation ein oder aus
Voraussetzungen:
→ Das Bimplus Projekt ist in den BIM Explorer geladen (siehe „Loading the building model into BIM Explorer“)
Klicken Sie in der linken Seitenleiste auf
Projektdetails anzeigen.Die Palette Projektnavigation wird am linken Rand der Gesamtansicht eingeblendet.
Tipp : Möchten Sie die Palette Projektnavigation temporär ausblenden, klicken Sie erneut auf
Projektdetails anzeigen.
Sichtbarkeit und Transparenz über Fachmodelle und Objektklassen einstellen
Im Bereich MODELLE der Palette Projektnavigation können die einzelnen Fachmodelle entweder als Ganzes oder nach einzelnen, darin enthaltenen Objektklassen sichtbar, unsichtbar oder transparent geschaltet werden.
So stellen Sie Sichtbarkeit und Transparenz auf Modellebene ein
Voraussetzungen:
→ Das Bimplus Projekt ist in den BIM Explorer geladen (siehe „Loading the building model into BIM Explorer“)
→ Die Palette Projektnavigation ist eingeblendet (siehe „Palette Projektnavigation einblenden“)
- Klicken Sie im Bereich MODELLE in der Zeile des betreffenden Fachmodells auf
Sichtbarkeit umschalten bzw. auf 
Opazität umschalten.
Oder: - Öffnen Sie im Bereich MODELLE den Strukturbaum für das Fachmodell und klicken Sie in der Zeile einer darin enthaltenen Objektklasse auf

Sichtbarkeit über Strukturstufen der Bauwerksstruktur einstellen
Der Bereich BAUWERKSSTRUKTUR zeigt die hierarchische Gliederung der einzelnen Fachmodelle analog zur Allplan Bauwerksstruktur bzw. nach den Vorgaben gemäß dem IFC-Format in den Stufen Liegenschaft (IFCSite), Gebäude (IFCBuilding) und Geschosse (IFCBuildingStory).
Da die von Allplan bekannte Teilbildgliederung eine nur in Allplan verfügbare, in IFC und BIM jedoch nicht definierte Strukturierungsmöglichkeit darstellt, wird diese nicht in Bimplus wiedergegeben. Gleiches gilt für die Layergliederung, die im Hinblick auf BIM und IFC ebenfalls eine gänzlich andere Bedeutung hat und in erster Linie eine Elementeigenschaft darstellt.
So stellen Sie die Sichtbarkeit über die Bauwerksstruktur ein
Voraussetzungen:
→ Das Bimplus Projekt ist in den BIM Explorer geladen (siehe „Loading the building model into BIM Explorer“)
→ Die Palette Projektnavigation ist eingeblendet (siehe „Palette Projektnavigation einblenden“)
- Öffnen Sie im Bereich BAUWERKSSTRUKTUR den Strukturbaum für das betreffende Modell bis zur gewünschten Strukturstufe.
Klicken Sie in den einzelnen Strukturstufen auf
Sichtbarkeit umschalten, um die Objekte der betreffenden Strukturstufe von sichtbar auf unsichtbar bzw. umgekehrt zu stellen.Hinweis : Grundsätzlich maßgebend für die Sichtbarkeit ist stets die Einstellung im Bereich MODELLE, die derjenigen im Bereich der BAUWERKSSTRUKTUR übergeordnet ist; nur die Objekte der dort aktivierten Modelle werden auch in der Gesamtansicht dargestellt.
Sichtbarkeit und Transparenz auf Objektebene einstellen
Um einen uneingeschränkten Blick auf sämtliche Bauteile des Bauwerksmodells zu erhalten, können Sie die sie verdeckenden Objekte gezielt ausblenden.
Alternativ können Sie, um sich insbesondere bei größeren Bauwerksmodellen besser auf bestimmte Bauteile fokussieren zu können, einzelne Objekte isoliert darstellen.
Objekte ausblenden
So blenden Sie einzelne Objekte aus
Voraussetzungen:
→ Das Bimplus Projekt ist in den BIM Explorer geladen (siehe „Loading the building model into BIM Explorer“)
- Klicken Sie in der Werkzeugleiste (unterer Bereich der Gesamtansicht) auf
Objekt(e) ausblenden, sodass die Funktion aktiviert ist. - Klicken Sie dann auf das Objekt, das ausgeblendet werden soll; Sie können der Reihe nach beliebig viele Objekte anklicken.
Klicken Sie erneut auf
Objekt(e) ausblenden, um die Funktion wieder auszuschalten.Die zuvor angeklickten Objekte bleiben ausgeblendet.
Hinweis : Um wieder alle Objekte sichtbar zu schalten, klicken Sie auf
Ansichtsfenster zurücksetzen.
Objekte isolieren
So isolieren Sie einzelne Objekte
Voraussetzungen:
→ Das Bimplus Projekt ist in den BIM Explorer geladen (siehe „Loading the building model into BIM Explorer“)
- Aktivieren Sie das Objekt, das isoliert werden soll, indem Sie es anklicken; mehrere Objekte können Sie aktivieren, indem Sie beim Anklicken die STRG-Taste gedrückt halten.
Klicken Sie in der Werkzeugleiste (unterer Bereich der Gesamtansicht) auf
Arbeitsobjekte isolieren.Alle Objekte, die nicht aktiviert waren, werden nur noch transparent dargestellt; nur die zuvor aktivierten Objekte bleiben unverändert sichtbar.
Hinweis : Möchten Sie alle Objekte wieder sichtbar schalten, klicken Sie erneut auf
Arbeitsobjekte isolieren, um die Funktion wieder auszuschalten.
Horizontal- und Vertikalschnitte durch das Bauwerksmodell legen
Durch das Bauwerksmodell lassen sich Schnitte parallel zur X-, Y- oder Z-Ebene legen. Die Schnittebene kann dabei je nach Bedarf senkrecht zur Ebene verschoben werden.
Hinweis für Allplan Anwender : Beachten Sie, dass Allplan und Bimplus unterschiedliche Koordinatensysteme verwenden (Allplan Z-Achse = Bimplus Y-Achse; Allplan Y-Achse = negative Bimplus Z-Achse).
So legen Sie einen Schnitt durch das Bauwerksmodell
Voraussetzungen:
→ Das Bimplus Projekt ist in den BIM Explorer geladen (siehe „Loading the building model into BIM Explorer“)
Klicken Sie in der Werkzeugleiste (unterer Bereich der Gesamtansicht) auf
Schnitt des Modells und dann auf die gewünschte Schnittebene X, Y oder Z.Hinweis : Um die Schnittdarstellung wieder auszuschalten, klicken Sie erneut auf
Schnitt des Modells.- Nur, wenn Sie die Schnittebene verschieben möchten:
Aktivieren Sie die Schnittebene durch Anklicken und verschieben Sie sie durch Ziehen oder mit dem Scroll-Rad Ihrer Maus.
You can control which parts of the building model are visible and how these parts look in BIM Explorer by using the Project navigation palette on the left side and the toolbar at the bottom of BIM Explorer.
By means of the Project navigation palette, you can show and hide entire specialist models, individual object types, or entire structural levels. By means of the toolbar, you can hide individual objects or isolate individual objects by making all other objects transparent.

Showing the Project navigation palette
The Project navigation palette gives you an overview of the data structure of the current project and its specialist models. By using the MODELS and BUILDING STRUCTURE areas in this palette, you control which objects are visible in full view. As the settings in these two areas overlap, BIM Explorer displays only objects that are visible in both areas.
In addition, you can use the MODELS area to make individual models or their subordinate object types transparent.
To show or hide the Project navigation palette
This is only possible if ...
→ The Bimplus project is loaded in BIM Explorer (see “Loading the building model into BIM Explorer”)
Go to the left sidebar and click
Show project details.You can see the Project navigation palette on the left side.
Tip : To hide the Project navigation palette, click
Show project details again.
Defining visibility and transparency across specialist models and object classes
You can use the MODELS area of the Project navigation palette to make the specialist models as a whole or the individual object classes therein visible, invisible, or transparent.
To define visibility and transparency at model level
This is only possible if ...
→ The Bimplus project is loaded in BIM Explorer (see “Loading the building model into BIM Explorer”)
→ The Project navigation palette is open (see “Showing the Project navigation palette“)
- Go to the required specialist model in the MODELS area and clickToggle visibility orToggle opacity.
Or: - Go to the MODELS area and open the tree structure for the required specialist model so that you can see the object classes. Go to the required object class and clickToggle visibility orToggle opacity.
Defining visibility settings by means of the structural levels of the building structure
The BUILDING STRUCTURE area shows the hierarchical structure of each specialist model in accordance with the Allplan building structure or the specifications for the IFC format with the following levels: site (IFCSite), building (IFCBuilding), and story (IFCBuildingStory).
The Allplan drawing file structure is only available in Allplan. As this structure is defined neither in IFC nor in BIM, you cannot find it in Bimplus either. The same applies to the Allplan layer structure, which has a completely different meaning in BIM and IFC. Here, layers are primarily element characteristics.
To define visibility by means of the building structure
This is only possible if ...
→ The Bimplus project is loaded in BIM Explorer (see “Loading the building model into BIM Explorer”)
→ The Project navigation palette is open (see “Showing the Project navigation palette“)
- Go to the BUILDING STRUCTURE area and open the tree structure for the model as far as the required structural level.
Click
Toggle visibility to change the objects in the structural levels from visible to invisible or from invisible to visible.Note : The visibility settings in the MODELS area override the settings in the BUILDING STRUCTURE area. Consequently, only the objects of the models selected in the “MODELS” area are visible in full view.
Defining visibility and transparency at object level
To see all components of the building model, you can hide objects that cover these components.
As an alternative, you can isolate objects. This option is particularly useful for complex building models because you can focus on particular components.
Hiding objects
To hide objects
This is only possible if ...
→ The Bimplus project is loaded in BIM Explorer (see “Loading the building model into BIM Explorer”)
- Go to the toolbar at the bottom and clickHide objects to select this tool.
- Click the objects one after the other. You can hide as many objects as you want.
Click
Hide objects again to close this tool.The objects you clicked are still hidden.
Note : To make all objects visible again, click
Reset viewport.
Isolating objects
To isolate objects
This is only possible if ...
→ The Bimplus project is loaded in BIM Explorer (see “Loading the building model into BIM Explorer”)
- Click to select the object that you want to isolate. To select several objects, select and hold the Ctrl key while clicking the objects.
Go to the toolbar at the bottom and click
Isolate working objects.This makes all other objects transparent so that you can see the selected objects only.
Note : To make all objects visible again, click
Isolate working objects again to close this tool.
Creating horizontal sections and vertical sections through the building model
You can create sections through the building model. These sections are parallel to the x, y, or z-plane. If you want, you can move the section plane so that it is perpendicular to the x, y, or z-plane.
Note to Allplan users : Allplan and Bimplus use different coordinate systems (z-axis in Allplan = y-axis in Bimplus; y-axis in Allplan = negative z-axis in Bimplus).
To create a section through the building model
This is only possible if ...
→ The Bimplus project is loaded in BIM Explorer (see “Loading the building model into BIM Explorer”)
Go to the toolbar at the bottom and click
Sectioning the model. Select the required section plane: X, Y, or Z.Note : To turn off the section, click
Sectioning the model again.- If you want to move the section plane:
Click to select the section plane and move it by dragging or by using the wheel button.
