But you can easily create your own property set templates by copying one of the predefined property set templates and customizing this copy these copies to suit your needs and requirements. All predefined property set templates include contain the minimum of property sets required in accordance with the IFC standard. This ensures that all property set templates derived always comply with the minimum requirements in accordance with the IFC standard.

To derive a create your own property set template, copy one of the predefined property set templates . You can then and customize the copy by changing or adding property sets.

  1. Open the list box for the property set template (on the left side of the table header) and select the template that you want to copy.

  2. Click Image Removed Image Added Property set templates options to the right of the list box and select Image Removed Image Added Copy.

  2. Go to the Object column and select the object type or object class for which you want to change one or more property sets.

  3. Edit the property sets as described in “Changing property sets or defining new property sets“.
